Mr Duffy will lead Ballarat Community Health as its new chief executive officer from December 10.
Uniting general manager Western Victoria and Tasmania Silvia Alberti said the organisation will be looking for an experienced leader to fill the executive officer role.
“On behalf of everyone at Uniting, and particularly his colleagues across Ballarat, Barwon and Western Melbourne, I wish Sean all the best in his new role at Ballarat Community Health. I’m sure that he will approach this next challenge with his customary energy and dynamism,” she said.
“Sean’s will be big shoes to fill and we will soon start that process. We will be looking for an experienced leader with commitment to place-based service delivery and experience providing a range of community services that support vulnerable and marginalised people.”
Mr Duffy took on the role as executive officer for Uniting Ballarat, Barwon and Western Melbourne in July 2017.
The move into the leadership role followed his position as manager of mental health, alcohol and drug services with the organisation from 2016.
