A pink Toyota and a maroon Toyota Torago collided around 7.15am at the corner of Lightfoot Avenue and Elsworth Street West.
Police are still investigating the cause of the incident.
The driver of the pink Toyota was taken to hospital before paramedics arrived. The other driver was assessed by paramedics on the scene and was later taken to hospital.
The incident caused its own hazard, as one of the vehicles spilled a large amount of oil on the road which was later cleaned up by the CFA.
