Opened by Julian Burnside QC, the works have been created by two internationally celebrated Dutch photographers who have shaped their creations on the 17th century Dutch master Rembrandt and Vermeer.
Mr Burnside said the work was immensely impressive and important for regional centres to experience such events.
“It’s wonderful for Craig’s to be supporting it,” he said. “I think Australia is at a point where we are at last really discovering the importance of art and cultural events which are highly valued through the community and a very important feature of life.
“I’m one of the ambassadors, I became an ambassador five or six years ago now. When you’re associated with the arts It’s one of the good things to be able to do being able to encourage others to also become involved.”
Olaf/Kerstens as part of the Ballarat International Foto Biennale is at the Craig’s dining room until the end of February.
