He joins a growing group of players ending stints at VFL clubs to go full-time with BFL clubs next season, including Andrew Hooper (Ballarat), Mitch Conn (Sunbury) and Mark Orr (Melton).
King played his only football with the Cobras this year, being unable to force his way into the Tiger line-up after surgery interrupted his pre-season.
The former Marsh junior launched his season with a best-on-ground performance against East Point in round five asnd went to play 13 games.
King, 23, had four seasons with Werribee, playing the bulk of his matches in the now disbanded AFL development league.
Cobras president Adam Sutherland said he expected the powerfully built King to build on what he had shown this year with a full pre-season behind him.
He also believed being solely focused on Bacchus Marsh would also be beneficial for King.
