The man was the only occupant of a car which hit another parked car near the corner of Haines Street before then crashing into a tree.

Fire crews were called to the scene to gain access to the car so paramedics could tend to the man.

He was conveyed to Ballarat Base Hospital in a stable condition with a head injury.
