This comes in a year in which the Exchange introduced Bakers’ Lane to showcase food artisans to add to the shopping experience.
Event founder Lyndelle Flintoft, who hails from Ballarat, said the Christmas exchange had been carefully curated to ensure the best emerging talent.
“(I am) thrilled to see Ballarat stand alone in its passion to host so many innovative events, places to eat and progressive art exhibitions,” Ms Flintoft said.
“It’s an exciting time for Ballarat as it becomes the forerunner in regional areas.”
Ms Flintoft also founded the Nighjar Festival events in Torquay and Geelong, attracting plenty of shoppers in the summer from Ballarat. Nightjar Festival attracts about 15,000 people to the evening markets.
The Design Exchange is at The Mining Exchange on Sunday, 10am-3pm.
