Lee, a well-known Central Highlands Football League figure, has lodged a clearance request from Ocean Grove.
The tough onballer has played most of his football with Gordon, where he won The Courier award in 2013.
He made a brief shift to Clunes for the 2015 season, one that saw Gordon play off in the grand final.
Lee was back with the Eagles the following year, but has not played in the CHFL since the end of 2016.
New Buninyong coach Shaun O’Loughlin said Lee was looking fit and could play multiple roles for the Bombers.
Another new face at the club is James Heslop.
Heslop has signed with the Bombers from Moe, where he won the Gippsland league reserves best and fairest medal in 2018.
O’Loughlin said Heslop shaped as a utility that was expected to boost depth within the senior side.
The pair of new recruits add to the exciting news that Caius Barrenger has been officially cleared to Buninyong.
Barrenger sat the entire 2018 season on the sidelines because his former club Rokewood-Corindhap refused to approve his transfer request to the Bombers.
The young key position player took the matter to AFL Victoria, but his appeal was denied.
Barrenger has represented the CHFL at interleague level and shapes as a huge inclusion for his new club.
O’Loughlin has taken over the reins from former senior coach Jarrod Morgan, who stepped down from the position following his side’s grand final defeat at the hands of Beaufort in September.
Morgan is planning to remain as a player in 2019 without the responsibility of leading the team.
The Bombers kicked off their pre-season training last week.
Meanwhile, Springbank tall Brock Freeman is on the move.
Freeman is looking to play with North Ballarat City in the Ballarat league next season.
The ruckman played in both of the Tigers’ grand final wins in 2015 and 2016.
He departs a Springbank side that will be coached by Joe Otto.
Otto moves to the Tigers in a non-playing capacity after three seasons at the helm of his home club Wickliffe-Lake Bolac in the Mininera District competition.
He succeeds Troy Beamond, who left after one year at Tigerland.
Springbank has named a handful of recruits, including Jonathan O’Brien, Todd Finco and James Thompson from Albion in the Western Region league.
