Hook (37.15min) and Threlfall (31.53min) won respective female and male 10km divisions, while Rizzo (28.59min) was the first para athlete home.
Mees (19.13min) and Sharp (16.18min) claimed victory in the 5km run.
“I was pretty happy with (the time) considering all the wind. It was very windy out there. I really enjoyed this course and really loved the event,” Mees told The Courier.
“There are lots of girls in Ballarat distance running that are really, really quick so it feels great to finish in first.”
Threlfall travelled down for the event from the Echuca-Moama region and loved the course, which took in parts of Victoria Park and Lake Wendouree.
“It was super flat and super fast and it was a beautiful Ballarat morning,” he said.
Threlfall said his time of 31.53min was well below his best for the 10km journey, but revealed Sunday was his first race back since recently competing in the Berlin Marathon.
Money from registrations will help provide food relief to those going hungry.
A portion of the fees will go directly to the Feed Ballarat Appeal, while the balance will go to one of the Ballarat Foundation’s six charity partners as chosen by entrants.
