The horse is one of two from the Waller yard nominated for the race, which he won back in 2015 with Junoob.
Waller also has Savacool among the nominations, with the field to be decided on Wednesday when final acceptances close.
Online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au has Life Less Ordinary and Savacool as equal $6 favourites for the Ballarat Cup alongside Darren Weir-trained Lucky For All.
Life Less Ordinary has had a consistent Melbourne preparation, which includes close-up efforts in the group 3 Coongy Cup, group 1 Kennedy Mile and a listed 1800m event on Melbourne Cup day.
Savacool is a progressive four-year-old mare, which has won five of her 13 career starts. The most recent came at Flemington in a benchmark 90 1800m race on November 8.
Weir has nominated eight horses in a bid to win his first Ballarat Cup since 2004, with other local hopes resting with Lord Fandango (Archie Alexander) and One More Try (Matt Cumani).
