The Ballarat Foundation has officially issued a thank you all involved in the inaugural fun mass participation event. More than 1650 participants ran, walk or rolled the course through Victoria Park and taking in Lake Wendouree on Sunday. There were more than 110 volunteers out at the weekend and 60 entertainers livening up the course and events village.
Money raised will support the Feed Ballarat Appeal and push for a food distribution centre in Ballarat’s west with half to boost participants’ elected frontline food relief charities: Ballarat Community Health, Uniting Ballarat, Food is Free, Ballarat Neighbourhood Centre, the Salvation Army and Anglicare.
Run for a Cause filled the gap from the now-defunct CottonOn Run Ballarat.
