From strongman and women competitions, to classic cars – including a DeLorean made famous in the Back To The Future movies, complete with Hover Board – to music and dozens of stalls all around the lake, there was plenty on show for everyone.
It was a local success in Show ‘n’ Glow competition with Stephen Swanson of Brown Hill taking out the best car with his striking 1934 Ford 4 Door Sedan.
There was plenty of musical talent on display too with such as four year old Anna who entertained the crowds for more than two hours on her violin. Zara Hayward who belting out hits from the likes of Christina Aguilera throughout the day.
Away from the entertainment, hundreds of stall holders showed off their home made wares, with many Ballarat artists proving popular such as Mark Collins who spent the day not only selling his work, but also showing customers how he creates his unique works.
One of the most popular attractions was the army display on the northern side of the lake. Private Liam Ollerenshaw and Private Jame Keyte were among a host of servicemen and women showing off some the army’s weapons to hosts of adoring youngsters.
Also popular were three week old goats Shane and Elizabeth, who despite their young age, were more than happy to accept plenty of pats from the young and the young at heart.
