“With with such talent to be found within the group, I see no reason why it can’t rapidly become the region’s flagship ensemble,” he said.
“Moreover, it is my vision for the orchestra to become a regional attraction, integral to the cultural life of Ballarat.”
BSO’s youth concerto were the first to perform with Cseszko when he conducted them at a concert in June.

The BSO will perform its first concert under Cseszko’s baton, its third and final concert for the year, at Wendouree Centre for Performing Arts on December 2.
The Jazz Inspiration Concert features May Gavin on solo piano and a collection of American Classics from Bernstein, Gershwin and Copland.
Works from Leonard Bernstein will start and end the concert, commemorating this year’s 100th anniversary of his birth. Three dance episodes from On the Town begin the show with he symphonic dances from the 1957 Broadway musical West Side Story closing the afternoon show.
