Despite a search involving the airwing on Monday night, police are still looking for a man in his 20s who is wanted over a series of dangerous driving and family violence related offences.

Investigators from the Western Division Three Family Violence Investigation unit are following up reports of a series of family violence related assaults involving the wanted man and a woman also in her 20s on December 3.
Senior Sergeant Tony Coxall said police were called in on Monday to reports of a sliver Holden Vectra sedan with the registration SMY 033 driving erratically through Ballarat, with the man wanted understood to be the driver.
“We believe there was a number of erratic and dangerous driving incidents around the Ballarat area,” Senior Sergeant Coxall said.
“We believe some of the worst cases of the driving were about 1.30pm in Wendouree in Gillies Street area.
“Then later in the afternoon around 5.15pm the same car was spotted in Lake Wendouree near Mill Street.
“At 5.30pm it was again seen driving erratically in central Ballarat in Steinfeld Street and then at about 5.45pm Whitehorse Road Mount Clear.”
Police swooped on the Mount Clear region around 5.45pm where the woman involved was taken to safety, however the man fled and has been on the run since.
As of Wednesday afternoon the whereabouts of the man was still eluding police.
Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the car driving erratically on Monday afternoon to come forward as they try to piece together the movements of the wanted man throughout the day.
