The Bareena outfit is second on the table and has a home green advantage for its battle with the top team in the competition.
Bareena heads into the match on the back of a last-round loss to Queenscliff – it’s first defeat for the campaign.
The Grovers, meanwhile, were devastating winners over Buninyong by 96 shots.
That Buninyong side will look to bounce back with a home clash against Webbcona on Saturday.
The two teams look evenly matched and both have claimed two wins each for the season.
The other all-Ballarat encounter sees Victoria take on Sebastopol.
The Vics remain winless at the foot of the ladder, while the Kookaburras are nicely placed inside the top four.
Victoria has accumulated just 12 points from the eight games so far in 2018-19 and will need to produce something special to beat the in-form Sebastopol, which easily defeated Lara at the weekend.
Lara is just outside the top four in fifth position and can make inroads into the 20-point gap to fourth-placed Queenscliff when it battles that side on Saturday.
The last game of round nine pits Highton against Eastern Park.
Highton lost to Webbcona last Saturday, while Eastern Park was too good for Victoria.
After this weekend’s games, just two more rounds remain until the mid-season break. Competition will then resume in the new year with round 12 fixtures on January 12.
