More than 1000 people are expected to attend the Buninyong Village Christmas Market and Buninyong Carols by Candelight on one of the biggest days of the town’s event calendar.
Buninyong Mount Helen Lions Club member Ian Voigt said the Carols by Candelight had a 30 year history of bringing the community together in festive spirit.
“De Soza Park is usually packed with people and we usually raise more than $2000 for the 3BA Christmas Appeal from community donations. It is a fantastic example to everyone of what a strong community we have here,” he said.
Santa Claus will make an appearance at the Carols by Candlelight while the Sing Australia choir, local school children and feature performer Reuben Morgan take the stage throughout the night.
The Buninyong Carols by Candlelight will run from 6.30pm to 9pm at De Soza Park.
Meanwhile, the Buninyong Village Christmas Market will run from 4pm to 8pm at the Buninyong Town Hall. It will feature 79 market stalls.
