Coleman, who won flags with the Roos in 2006 and 2011, has made the move from the Sunraysia Imperials, where he last played in 2015.
The versatile forward last represented Waubra in 2012 before moving away to the state’s north-west, where he also won a premiership with the Imperials.
Coleman will play alongside brother Glen at Waubra during the 2019 Central Highlands Football League season.
Glen missed the majority of last season with a serious shoulder injury and will be a welcome addition to a team that fell agonisingly short of reaching a grand final in 2018.
After claiming the minor premiership, Waubra lost the preliminary final against eventual premiers Beaufort by two points.
Another major bonus for the Roos is the return of classy onballer Lincoln Barnes.
Barnes missed the entire 2018 season following a knee reconstruction and is effectively a recruit for the club’s upcoming campaign.
The nippy onballer had a brilliant 2017 with the Roos, stamping himself as one of the best players in the competition.
Waubra coach Matt James has also confirmed the arrival of key position player Brett Coutts.
Coutts hasn’t played football for a few years, but makes the move from Dunnstown, where he last featured in 2013.
“I believe we have added quality experience to complement our young list of last season to hopefully make us stronger and a better team going into 2019,” James told The Courier.
Among the major departures for Waubra is key position player Jonathon Neville and onballer Nick Dinsdale.
The Roos have been booked to take on Dunnstown in round one of the new season on Saturday, March 30.
A rematch with Beaufort is then on the cards the following the weekend.
