Bacchus Marsh president Adam Sutherland says a Facebook post uploaded by Darley has “changed the landscape” in regards to Trent Angwin’s desired move to the Devils.

Darley posted that the Cobras defender had decided to join the Devils for the 2019 Ballarat Football League season.
However, Sutherland told The Courier that Angwin was contracted to the Cobras for next season and indicated it was unlikely he would be released from that commitment.
“We are excited and thrilled to announce that Trent Angwin has decided to join the Darley Football Netball Club,” the Facebook post read.
“Trent will start training with Darley on Monday (December 10) when pre-season kicks off, but will have to wait until the new year to be cleared by Bacchus Marsh.”
Angwin, a premiership player with the Cobras and past BFL team of the year member, was even pictured in a Darley shirt.
Sutherland was clearly disappointed by the post, which he said was “poor form” and “poor manners”.
“Any good will that might have been there has disappeared,” Sutherland said.
“He’s our player. They haven’t even lodged a clearance."
Sutherland wished to outline that other players had been cleared successfully between the two clubs in years gone by.
Meanwhile, Anthony Hibbert has officially joined Melton.
Melton posted a photo of Hibbert in a Bloods jumper on Facebook and stated that he would be running around in the maroon and white in 2019.
“During his time off he was able to establish his business, AH Constructions, but he will be keen to get back out there and play some footy next year,” the post read.
“Welcome to the Bloods....finally!”
Hibbert sat out the 2018 season when his club Melton South refused to clear him to the BFL arch-rival.
Melton South stood firm in its view that Hibbert was a required player because he signed a contract with the club.
