CHRISTMAS spirited three-year-old Ivy led passengers aboard the Santa Tram singing Jingle Bells all the way along the tracks at Lake Wendouree on Saturday morning.

Jingle Bells is Ivy’s favourite Christmas song to practise singing and Santa was suitably won over, stopping to join in a couple of times as other passengers clapped along.
Santa made his second and final appearance for a pre-Christmas tram ride, in what has become a Ballarat Tramways tradition.
Santa Tram was standing room only for its first trips amid heavy rain on Saturday and carrying about 200 people on a festive site-see for the morning.
Ballarat Tramway Museum’s Peter Waugh said the aim was for a fun and affordable way to get people in the spirit of the season.
The Museum has been running the Santa Tram special for about five years and this was one of the first times it made for a smooth ride. Past Santa Tram trips have encountered Ironman events and scorching heat.
Youngsters could enjoy a photo with jolly Mr Claus and final chance to remind him how good they had been this year.
