City will kick-off its season on Sunday, February 17 with James Robinson as its new man at the helm.
City will hold their first home game the following week, hosting Whittlesea Ranges. Ballarat will enjoy a run of three home games at Morshead Park, giving City a great chance to kickstart their season.
Next year bodes an interesting one for City.
After fighting off relegation last season, former coach Danny Gnjidic left his post for work reasons and Robinson, who previously coached the Ballarat Red Devils, is his successor.
City won nine games last season, drawing four and suffering 15 losses.
After a couple of seasons where City showed promise at stages, but ultimately fell short of their desired target, there is much anticipation for 2019.
There has also been plenty of movement from a squad point of view. Notably Michael Trigger and Pat Karras have gone elsewhere, leaving uncertainty surrounding City’s potential.
Robinson said City had a number of positions it was hoping to bolster over the off-season, with no announcements at this stage.
He added that many of the vacancies will be filled from within, Robinson speaking volumes of the club’s youth.
