A MAN in his 40s has been taken to Ballarat Base Hospital with serious head injuries after an altercation at a property in Ross Creek overnight.

The incident in Lacys Road happened just after 7.30pm.
Ambulance Victoria has confirmed they treated a man for serious head injuries including lacerations, but he was last listed as being in a stable condition.
Investigations are continuing as to how the incident unfolded. Any witnesses are urged to come forward.
