His selection in the KordaMentha Real Estate Australian team continues a whirlwind summer for the Ballarat rider.
White was named at the end of last year in the UniSA Australian team for next week’s Tour Down Under in South Australia.
He then debuted for his new team Bridgelane in the Cycling Australia Road National Championships – taking out his first national title.
His gold medal led to his latest selection by Cycling Australia.
White joins Nathan Elliott, new national elite men’s road race champion Michael Freiberg, Dylan Sunderland, Harry Sweeney, Carter Turnbull and Ayden Toovey in the Cadel Evans event on January 26-27.
White will line up alongside some of the world’s best, with the Tour Down Under on January 10-20 and Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race being UCI WorldTour events.
MEANWHILE, Nick White older brother Liam is preparing for the New Zealand Cycle Classic on January 23-27.
Liam White is again riding for Drapac Education First and will go to NZ off some solid performances in national road championships.
He finished 16th in the elite men’s criterium, in a bunch finish just six seconds behind winner Brenton Jones.
White was then delighted with 23rd in the road race – one of just 25 riders to complete the gruelling event.
He wrapped up the hometown campaign with a 12th in the road race on Tuesday.
White is hoping to follow the NZ Cycle Classic will a berth in the Herald-Sun Tour in Melbourne and eastern Victoria on January 30-February 3.
