17-year-old Mount Clear College student Aaron Develyn has debuted his first photography exhibition ‘Hotrods on print’ at The Amazing Mill Markets over the weekend to rave reviews.
“It’s been pretty crazy,” he said.
“I’ve met a lot of people en-route to putting this together and to see them all here supporting me feels great.”
The exhibition features both digital and film photos shot over the past five years both locally and abroad.
Aaron always found himself taking pictures of cars during his day-to-day life. What began as a hobby on his phone grew into a passion.
“Over the years I started getting better equipment and learning more about shooting.”
A 2012 trip to the United States only fueled Aaron’s passion more.
“The cars over there are just nuts. They don’t have the same restrictions about modifications as we do here, so you can see some really out there cars.”
Heading into year 12 and looking towards the future, Aaron isn’t limiting himself to what’s next.
“I haven’t thought about it heaps, one thing I’d like to do is put together a coffee table book but other than that who knows.”
