A woman in her 50s and a teenage girl were lucky to survive after their car crashed into a tree on the corner of State Forest Road and Reservoir Road at Ross Creek about 10.20pm on Saturday.
A police spokesman said the driver lost control in the gravel on the side of the road.
Both were transported to Ballarat Base Hospital in a stable condition – the woman in her 50s had face and neck injuries while the teenager had cuts and abrasions.
Meanwhile, a man in his 20s was also transported to Ballarat Base Hospital in a stable condition after an early morning car rollover at Navigators.
The man also lost control on gravel and skidded across into the other lane on Yankee Flat Road near Greenhill Road about 6.50am on Sunday but luckily no other car was coming. He has neck and back soreness.
