It took Victoria 12 rounds to land its first success of the season, but just another seven days to score its second.

The Big V backed up its triumph over Webbcona with a thrilling win over Buninyong on Saturday.
Victoria snatched the victory with some last-end heroics from skipper Scott Hollingworth, who helped turn a one-shot deficit into an 85-84 triumph.
Experienced Big V bowler Paul Tudorovic said it was an exciting way to finish the game and was pleased to beat a Buninyong side that he lost to by just three shots back in round four.
Tudorovic said the club had a proud history in the Geelong-Ballarat Premier Bowls competition and was determined to avoid finishing at the bottom of the ladder.
This season is the last before the league disbands. In September last year, it was announced that the Ballarat District Bowls Division had agreed with the Geelong Bowls Region to end the competition after the 2018-19 campaign.
“Obviously we want to make sure we finish on a high note. We’ve been in the competition since its inception and don’t want to be known as the last team on the bottom,” he said.
Craig Ford and Barry Clark skippered winning rinks for Victoria, while Mick Storey and Graeme Simpson were successful for Buninyong.
Victoria remains at the bottom of the table despite its second-straight win, 10 points behind ninth-placed Highton, which lost by one shot to Queenscliff on Saturday.
The Cliffers have jumped to third following that narrow success, leaping over Sebastopol.
The Kookaburras were beaten on Saturday by Ocean Grove, which was too strong at home.
That loss was Sebastopol’s second in as many matches and leaves the side just seven points clear of fifth-placed Lara.
Lara could have climbed over the Kookaburras at the weekend, but was unable to beat Bareena, which prevailed by 11 shots.
Bareena remains clear at the top of the ladder, two points ahead of the Grovers.
The round’s other clash saw Webbcona go down at home to Eastern Park.
The visitors were far too good for the hosts, winning three of the four rink contests in a 50-shot thrashing.
Just five rounds remain until the finals commence, but no bowls will be played in the premier league next weekend.
Competition will resume on Saturday, February 2.
