Voting for the lucrative race – in which the majority of the field is decided by the public – started on Monday.
Weir runners Amphitrite and Extra Brut currently sit fourth and seventh respectively.
Amphitrite, which won the group 1 Thousand Guineas in October, had collected 1322 votes by 5pm Tuesday, with group 1 Victoria Derby champion Extra Brut receiving 1249.
At the top of the leaderboard is Chris Munce’s Urban Ruler (3673), with Chris Waller’s Caulfield Guineas champion The Autumn Sun (2670) in second.
The voting will continue until February 18 when the leading 10 horses automatically qualify for the All-Star Mile field.
Racing Victoria is then set to offer wildcards to find the final four competitors for the race.
The All-Star Mile, which has never been run before, is scheduled for Flemington on March 16.
