Ballarat will crown its Citizen of the Year and Young Citizen of the Year to open up the Australia Day long weekend. The award ceremony will acknowledge the fantastic work done within the community by select residents.

Ballarat Food Truck Carnival
Running across four days, food trucks of all cuisines are set to descend upon Ballarat for the annual food truck carnival. Things start on Friday evening with the amazing food continuing until Monday night.

Cosmic Psychos at Karova
One of Australia’s longest standing rock groups, Cosmic Psychos, are set to blow the doors off the Karova lounge with their crass, loud and in-your-face brand of rock and roll.

Peach's Fruit Market Victorian Senior Masters
Players from the Australian PGA Seniors Tour will converge on Ballarat to vie for the Victorian Senior Masters for prize purse of $25,000 across Saturday and Sunday.

No money will change hand at this event, rather it is encouraged to bring down some of your home grown produce to swap with other local growers.

Creswick Woollen Mill Australia Day Local Produce Market
Come and spend your Australia Day at the iconic Creswick Woollen Mill's local produce market. Fill a basket with regional produce which celebrates all that Australia is good for! Be sure to pat an alpaca while you're here.

Australia Day citizenship ceremony
The City of Ballarat will welcome 50 new residents into the community during this ceremony.

Australia Day Pool Party at Eureka Swimming Pool
Inflatable obstacles, rock climbing, a volleyball competition and barbecue will be going on throughout the afternoon this Australia Day at the Eureka Swimming Pool.

Ballarat BLAZE Music Festival
Local and national touring talent over two stages at Karova Lounge will be shredding across the day in one of the biggest regional metal shows of the year.

Murder Mystery – A Night to Die For at Kryal Castle

Red Hot Summer Tour
Rock legends Jimmy Barnes and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts will take over North Gardens on the 2019 Australia Day weekend.
The concert will also feature The Living End as well as Diesel, Richard Clapton and Chocolate Starfish. Now that is a rocking day if ever you did see one.
