The Bunnies batted throughout last Saturday to reach 9-268 at stumps and will now look to restrict the Ballarat Cricket Association first grade reigning premiers on their home deck at Eastern Oval.
Brady, who was run out cheaply last Saturday, is pleased with his side’s position in the match as it looks to break into the top four.
As it stands, Buninyong is fifth on the table, just percentage behind the fourth-placed Wendouree.
“It could come down to percentage so we need to be mindful of that,” Brady said.
“Obviously the six points is the aim and then we want to try bowl them out and restric to as less a total as possible.”
Buninyong was in trouble for the early part of its innings last week, but an important eighth-wicket partnership between David Ellis (83) and Harry Bond (50 not out) helped post a strong total.
Elsewhere, top side East Ballarat will need to bowl well to defend its modest score of 177 against Wendouree.
Stephen Segrave was the hero with the ball for the Red Caps, snaring five wickets.
If beaten, East Ballarat looks in danger of giving up top spot given Mt Clear is in a strong position in its battle with Brown Hill.
An unbeaten 91 from Matt Ward and 72 from Nathan Yates helped the Mounties post a score of 7-291 at the Western Oval.
The Bulls are in need of victory to stay in the hunt for a top four position. The team sits seventh, but is only six points and percentage adrift of the Red Caps.
Over at the Northern Oval, North Ballarat looks a warm favourite to claim first innings spoils in the battle with Ballarat-Redan.
The Roosters, which are level on points with Wendouree and Buninyong, has eight wickets in hand to haul in the remaining 64 runs for victory.
At Darley Park, the home side restricted Napoleons-Sebastopol to 187 on day one and will set about the run chase on Saturday.
