The students aged nine to 15 study different performance disciplines at BCMA and spent a week last month performing and auditioning in the hopes of breaking in to the highly-competitive US entertainment industry.
For 14 hours a day over six days they presented vocal performances, dance items, drama monologues, film scenes, television commercials, improvisation and various genres of modelling including swimwear, creative fashion, and attended workshops and masterclasses to refine their skills.
At the end of the event, the students – Samuel Holzberger, 11, Dana Reynolds, 9, Olivia Steinman, 12, Hannah Crompton, 15, Lucy Walters, 15, Chloe Taylor, 14, and Bella Leech, 14 – received 52 invitations to meet with casting agents, several scholarship offers and have since been sent scripts for musicals and other acting roles.
BCMA students dominated the final event showcase, being awarded seven of the 27 performance places.
