The side, which had slipped from top spot to fourth on the back of four-straight defeats, scored a morale-boosting win over City Oval.
As a result, Ballarat climbed to third on the division one weekend pennant bowls table.
The big loser on Saturday was Learmonth, which slipped to sixth after its loss to top side Ballarat Memorial Sports.
Learmonth had been on top just two rounds ago, but now faces a battle to break back into the four.
Other winners on Saturday included Central Wendouree, Creswick and Mt Xavier.
