The fun-filled afternoon will feature free activities including soccer, cricket, basketball and bike riding for children of all ages. There will also be family mini golf and an inflatable climbing wall.
Ballarat Basketball Association has arranged for Miners and Rush members to hold clinics at the reserve’s new half-basketball court and there will be bikes available to ride through ReCranked.
Also on offer will be a free sausage sizzle provided by the Miner’s Rest Lions Club, water bottle giveaways sponsored by Central Highlands Water and free fruit.
“It is important for people to have the opportunity to come together as a community, to enjoy this lovely new space and to be able to participate in local activities in the future,” Wendouree Neighbourhood Centre community development officer Kate Owen said.
Visitors will also be able to access information about a range of local activities, programs, clubs and community groups.
