A 12-person jury has spent Tuesday deliberating on the verdict in a Alfredton rape, kidnapping and false imprisonment trial.

The man, who The Courier has decided not to name to protect the identity of the victim, appeared in the County Court and has been charged with nine offences relating to incidents in February, May to June and September, 2017.
He has already pleaded guilty to three counts of intentionally causing injury.
The trial will continue in Ballarat on Wednesday.
