Public Transport Victoria’s latest statistics release shows 87.7 per cent of trains arrived on time last month, an improvement from the same month in 2018, and a 1.2 per cent improvement from last month.
It also shows 95.4 per cent of services were delivered, up from 94.3 per cent in December.
Punctuality statistics for Ballarat, Geelong, and Bendigo were all above the 12-month average of 85.2 per cent.
According to V/Line’s Twitter feed, there were 13 hot weather timetable days in January.
Public Transport Victoria chief executive Jeroen Weimar said the numbers showed the regional network “continues to improve its ability to manage services during times of extreme weather”.
