The call is out for creatures great and small to step out as one in the pet-friendly six-kilometre walk and run of Lake Wendouree as part of the Ballarat Cycle Classic on Sunday.
This is the third year the popular PETstock event has been part of the program in the major fundraiser for Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute and this time was particularly personal for the PETstock team.
“For us, the cause remains really close to our hearts. We lost one of our young team members to cancer last year and this had a big impact on the team,” PETstock marketing and operations manager Dion Collard said.
“We’re thrilled to support everything FECRI (Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute) does – and the fact this event involves all Ballarat, including our four-legged friends, makes it even better.”
Registrations are strong for the Classic, which also features road rides and mountain biking.
