The Kookaburras were beaten by Lara on Saturday, a defeat which has left the side sixth on the Geelong-Ballarat Premier Bowls ladder with one game to play.
Sebastopol should be able to win its battle with ninth-placed Victoria next weekend, but would still need other results to go its way to play finals.
The Kookaburras are currently 12 points adrift of the finals bracket.
Victoria was able to climb off the bottom of the ladder on Saturday with a great win over Eastern Park.
That four-shot defeat knocked Eastern Park out of the four and down to fifth.
In a superb weekend for the Ballarat District Bowls Division sides, Buninyong upset Ocean Grove and Webbcona defeated Highton.
The round's other clash saw Bareena prove too strong for Queenscliff and climb back to the top of the table in the process.
