President of the Ballarat Community Garden Sheilagh Kentish said the event is sure to be an exciting day for all.
"We're expecting over 800 people to come through," she said.
"It's always great to see so many people come through and support the community garden."
The free event is in its 10th year and will include activities for the both young and old.
Plant stalls, wool spinning, children's activities and bee keeping workshops are just a few of the activities available across the day. There will also be food and music running.
Ms Kentish said one of the highlights of the day will be five mini talk subjects by experienced food gardener and author of the Urban Food Garden website, John Ditchburn.
Sunday is currently foretasted to be 33 degrees, but Ms Kentish isn't fazed by the incoming heat.
"I hope people are ready for a hot and sunny day out," she laughed.
The free event will take place on Sunday from 11am to 3pm at the Ballarat Community Garden in Ballarat East.
