Federal member for Ballarat Catherine King made the announcement at the club on Thursday.
The news will help to increase participation in the club's clinics through winter and further enhance the practice facilities.
Ballarat Golf Club president John King welcomed the grant and said he and the club were grateful for the support of Catherine King and Sport Australia.
“Adding an undercover area to the driving range will further enhance our high quality practice facilities for our members and guests to the club," King said.
“We continue to look for ways to add to the experience and this is certainly a big addition to our club.”
Meanwhile, the club will host the Junior Masters event for a second year, welcoming the nation's top up-and-comers.
The 36-hole championship will take place on April 18-19.
