The school's 310 pupils each enjoyed at least two freshly made pancakes, courtesy of the school's parents and friends group, to mark the religious significance of the day.
Shrove Tuesday marks the last day before Lent, when pancakes were traditionally eaten to use up eggs and fats before embarking on the Lenten fast.

While Lent is a time of sacrifice, children had the opposite experience with their pancakes topped with a choice of maple syrup, cream, berries, bananas and other delicious treats.
More than 700 pancakes were flipped and eaten, with the pancakes devoured alongside a lesson about the origins and importance of the day.
"The day is part of our traditions around entering in to Lent for us, as a Catholic school, it's very important," said Lumen Christi deputy principal Carmel Hanley.
