Saturday night will see the Ballarat Showgrounds come alive as Ballarat plays host to a round of the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Australia tour.
Speaking with PBR market research analyst Amanda Tuimalealiifano, she gave The Courier a crash course on what audiences should expect come Saturday evening.
"Plain and simply you're going to see the best bull riders and best bucking bulls in Australia competing for the top spot," she said.
The sport of bull riding involves the rider trying to stay on the bull for eight seconds. The riders are scored half on their performance and half on the bull's performance.
"It's just pure excitement," Ms Tuimalealiifano said.
"Some fans have their favourite riders and some have their favourite bulls, it's a sport that keeps you on the edge of your seat."
The PBR Australian tour goes all over Australia, with Ms Tuimalealiifano stressing the importance of regional shows and regional fans.
"The response we've received (regionally) has been amazing. This is where we have our biggest fans so we always want to deliver the best performance possible."
Gates open at 4pm.
