550 oversize loads will move from Geelong to the Moorabool North worksites, either along the Western Highway or from Geelong along the Geelong-Ballan Road.
WHERE ARE ALL THE TURBINES GOING?
Moorabool North is marked in red, to the east of Ballarat and south of Ballan
They will leave Geelong Port, or Portland, about midnight each night except Sundays, arriving by on-site by 5am.
Speed limit reductions are in effect in the immediate areas around the work sites, on the Ballan-Meredith Road and Ballan-Egerton Road, while there will also be activity on Manleys and Egans Roads.
The turbine components include 68 metre-long blades, on extended trucks, as well as nacelles, hubs, generators, and four separate tower sections.
Concrete work is continuing at the southern part of the project.
Delivery and construction is continuing on the Lal Lal wind farm, while Stockyard Hill is beginning to erect towers.
