Ballarat is set to host its very own Dancing With The Stars event.
The Ballarat Foundation launched its own take on the popular television series titled Dancing With Our Stars on Monday.
Ten local 'stars' have been matched with experienced dancers from Ballarat's The Dance Studio and will spend the next three months learning routines to perform at a gala evening on June 22 at Civic Hall.
Voting is now open for members of the public to support their favourite dancer. Each dollar paid to a dancer's fundraising page will count for one vote and raise funds for the Ballarat Foundation.
The dancer who collects the highest number of votes will be announced as the winner of the 2019 Ballarat Foundation Dancing With Our Stars.

Ballarat Foundation chief executive Matt Jenkins said the new event would engage with all sections of the community and provide an opportunity to make a difference.
"Whilst we exist to break the cycles of disadvantage and champion the cause for some very serious social justice issues, we believe it is no coincidence the first three letters in fundraising spell fun," he said.
"We did this with Run for a Cause and now we are doing it again with Dancing with Our Stars. By bringing the glitz, glamour, spray tans and sequences of ballroom dancing to our 10 local identities, we create an event that most certainly adds the fun to fundraising."
The Dance Studio is taking on the challenge of transforming the 10 stars to performing dancers in three months.
City of Ballarat mayor Samantha McIntosh, Canberra Hotel owner Malcolm Roberts and Ballarat Health Service chief medical officer Rosemary Aldrich will join Buxton Real Estate director Mark Nunn, Alfredton Rotary member Robyn Upton, Clarke Clean owner Dylan Lesock, photographer and blogger Liana Skewes, AFLW player Amy McDonald, and teacher and local football legend Shaune Moloney on stage with their dancing partners.

The Dance Studio owner Shelly Ross said the 'stars' were in for 'blood sweat and tears' during the next three months of rehearsals.
"I don't think they are prepared for what is ahead of them. There will be lots of tape for their feet, lots of blisters, lots of blood sweat and tears and lots of fun," she said.
