Marg Stevens is one of several people putting in huge amounts of hours to ensure the club can be successful this year.
"We have players sitting on the fence due to the rumours going around the area that Campbells Creek are folding. The rumour is a factor and the on-field lack of success makes the senior players hesitant to return to the club," she said.
The club is upbeat about the appointment of new senior coach Phil Hawkes and feels the direction he will take the Magpies will be of huge benefit.
"We think if we can get through the next 12 months this club will be absolutely thriving, but we need the region to give us a bit of a chance," Stevens said.
Former Melbourne footballer Russell Robertson has signed with the club and will play in round one.
