The latest construction video shows gives a sense of the enormity in scale for workers as the Ballarat Sports and Events Centre expansion project starts to look more like a multi-purpose stadium.
Basketball Ballarat operations manager Mark Valentine said there was starting to get an excited buzz about the place.
"It's got a real feel about it now, approaching that usability phase," Mr Valentine said. "A lot of the construction equipment has been cleared out now and it's looking more like courts."
The project remains on schedule for a mid-year finish with the first games likely to get in action about mid-July.
Doors are being installed to bring the new foyer and showcourt hall into lock-up stage.
Flooring in the showcourt arena starts on Thursday, each board to be hand-laid.
