Nicholson had an outstanding season with bat and ball, making around 350 runs while taking 16 wickets.
He received 16 votes to win the prestigious award.
The youngster is currently playing for the Roosters' first grade senior side in the grand final clash against East Ballarat.
Nicholson made 14 in North's first innings and will likely bat again next Saturday when the decider continues.
Brown Hill gun Tahlia Meier beat the boys to win the under-15 second grade competition's best player honour, while Wendouree's Fraser Dix took out the under-15 firsts award.
A range of other trophies were handed out at the presentation function, which was held at the Eastern Oval on Monday.
