The junior school council decided to run a donation drive for the One Humanity Shower Bus to collect items that some families struggle with.
After putting out the word through the school community, the council were overwhelmed with the response.
"Everyone really got behind it and we had families bringing in lots and lots of items," said teacher Deanna Osman.
The council had been selling Quelch sticks (icypoles) during term to raise money and used those funds to buy backpacks and extra items.
"The idea is to give a family a bag containing multiple items," Ms Osman said. There are also lots of loose items and a big pile of towels that have been donated.
Ms Osman said the school had been working hard to give pupils a perspective on helping not just their own school community, but the wider community.
"We are trying to build that community feeling that this is our community - our school community working to help our wider community," she said.
"It's about having empathy for other people, looking at what we have, and being thankful, grateful and giving back to the community."
