The Newlyn recruit was on fire in his debut for the club, booting seven goals in the Cats' round one win over Springbank.
He was awarded three votes by the Tigers, which gave two to Adam Sewell and one to Joel Willmott.
Clubs provide 3-2-1 votes for opposition players throughout the season, with the winner announced at the league presentation evening later in the year.
