CFA crews have brought a fire under control which burnt about five acres of grassland and paddocks near Cardigan earlier today.
The fire is understood to have started about 11.30am on the property near Crown and Sceptre Road and spread north-west along the paddocks towards houses.
Fortunately it was able to be brought under control within about 30 minutes before it posed any threat to property or livestock.
Investigations are underway as to how the fire started, but at this stage it is believed a burn-off may have accidentally started the blaze.
