The historic Pentland Hills Uniting Church is up for sale months after it was deemed structurally unsound.
The stone church, which has stood on the Old Western Highway since 1859, was declared unsafe by Moorabool Shire Council in November after a structural inspection.
After a building order was issued in December, the Uniting Church moved the remaining 10-member congregation to a new site.
"The estimated cost to properly restore the building is far beyond the financial capacity of the small congregation," a church spokesman said.

"The congregation has been continually consulted and since December has been advised that selling the building is the only viable solution in response to the building order. 'For sale' signs went up in late March, with the real estate agent instructed to find a buyer with the resources and commitment to comply with the heritage listing of the building."
The church is on the market with PRD Ballarat with a price tag of $450,000 to $495,000.
