UPDATE, 5pm: There are now 97 homes and businesses affected by the Powercor outage. Investigations are continuing.
UPDATE, 3.46pm: Mount Clear homes and businesses could be without power for another few hours as Powercor's website has an approximate restoration time of 8pm. There are still 250 households or businesses without power.
UPDATE, 12.43pm: More than 250 Mount Clear homes and businesses remain without power as Powercor investigates the issue.
According to the Powercor website, power is expected to be restored by about 2pm.
EARLIER: POWERCOR is investigating after more than 2000 residents and businesses were left without power this morning in and around Sebastopol.
Customers surrounding Sebastopol and Mount Clear have been without power for more than an hour.
A Powercor spokesperson told The Courier that while investigations were continuing, it was hoped power would be returned soon.
