Veteran Bombers player Mark Phelps was suspended for intentionally striking Callum Winter during the team's come-from-behind win over Springbank last Saturday.

O'Loughlin thought the club had vision that would be able to help Phelps, but it didn't come to fruition and he will miss Saturday's clash against Newlyn.

While he didn't criticise the tribunal's decision, O'Loughlin spoke openly about the benefits of having cameras in place across the competition like the Ballarat Football League. All BFL senior matches are recorded and uploaded to a website at the end of each round for public access.

"The vision doesn't lie of course. Just by having vision (it gives) that clarity that I think everybody needs. Whether it's circumstances such as tribunal or how you are playing or how individual players from opposition are playing... I think it just helps create a better picture for everybody," he said.

"I just think it would be the next stage for the league to look at in the professionalism that they're striving for..."

O'Loughlin was the BFL's senior interleague coach last year and is in his first season at the helm of Buninyong.

The Bombers' win over the Tigers was their first of the campaign.

Central Highlands league president Eddy Comelli said filming every game wasn't something the board was looking to introduce and put the onus back on clubs to do it if desired.

Round three of the CHFL season has a number of big games, including the rivalry clash between Gordon and Springbank and the battle between top sides Hepburn and Waubra.

The league then takes a break over Easter.
