The game-winning score was netted by Jack Mirabella with about 20 minutes remaining in the game. It was Mirabella's second goal this year.
The win keeps the Reds towards the top of the table, with their only loss coming at the hands of first placed Keilor Wolves SC who remained undefeated with a 3-1 win over last placed Wyndham United SC.
Ballarat's next outing will be against Balmoral FC at home after the Easter break on 27 April.
Coach Jamie Winton told The Courier after Saturday's win, he is confident that his team is capable of beating anyone in this competition and that there are "no teams we should fear."
